I think he cares: 


When his first gift to you is a mobile charger for the car because you always forget to charge it at home..

When he tries to win the hearts of your best friends..because he knows that would make you happy and proud of him...

When he is not shy to hold your hand in front of his buddies...

When he is hanging out with his buddies..and calls you in the middle of a "Winning 11" match just to check if you are having fun too...

When he willingly lets you win in PlayStation games ..just to watch you scream out happily: "YESSSS!"...

When he just steps back in the middle a fight between you...just because your tears appeared..no matter how big is your fault and how much he is upset...
And when later on after you have stopped crying he continues the fight as he is still upset, however he is so keen not make you cry again...

When he wakes up early in a weekend though he has slept at 5 am because you just mentioned the day before that u wish if u could spend longer hours enjoying the morning sun...
